Decent work for all is possible!

Our crowdfunding campaign is over! We have reached our goal of 6.000€ !

Thank you to all of you who contributed to give access to a certification training to 200 young people in Nairobi, Kenya!

Today, in Africa, millions of domestic workers (nannies, housekeepers, gardeners) are victims of violence… a modern slavery that must be stopped.

How ? By a global approach

> By organizing a return to school for the youngest while accompanying the family
> By ensuring a legal framework for this sector of activity
> By making the workers aware of their rights and duties and by making the employers aware of the need to respect them
> By offering a training recognized by the State -> this is where we need you!

What will the funding be used for?

> 30€ = the training of a young person (6 months duration)
> 50€ = the training of a young person and the accompaniment towards a decent job

The schedules are adapted to allow the young people to keep their job: the young people follow the courses either in the morning or in the afternoon.

At the end of the 6 months training, the young person is accompanied by the team of IDAY-Kenya to sign an employment contract, to join the union and to guarantee that his working conditions will be decent.
