LUNCH INFOPOINT – Domestic Workers

On the occasion of the International Day of Domestic Work on June 16, 2018, Wednesday, June 13, 2018, IDAY hosted a luncheon of the INFOPOINT: Protecting African domestic workers.

IDAY seized this opportunity to recall the conditions of modern slavery experienced by these invisible workers, estimated at 67 million worldwide by the International Labor Organization (ILO). Women and children are the first victims of what the ILO defines as one of the worst forms of child labour.
In addition to shedding light on domestic workers, the INFOPOINT was the occasion to present IDAY’s campaign conducted from 2014 to 2016, the results of the independent external evaluation, the audit and future developments.
